The castle Galliard sits high above the Seine, at a particularly scenic bend of the river about 86 miles northwest of Paris. It is every bit as powerful and indestructible now as it was six centuries ago when it was built by Richard Coeur de Lion, King of England — or, as he is better known, Richard the Lionhearted.
He built the castle upon strategically well-chosen, defensible ground, using timeless architectural principles and the soundest building materials. And he incorporated new ideas and technologies he had discovered half a world away.
As specialists in fixed income management, we chose “Galliard” as our firm name because Castle Galliard’s structure embodies strengths we hold to be true in our business as well: that sustainable success stems from remaining faithful to sound, time tested processes and the principle of defense, while incorporating new ideas and strategies in ever changing markets.
